“We are very excited to finally be open for business in Hanwell and being a part of the community,” said Jason Lutes, store owner. “I would personally like to thank everyone for their patience with the construction process as well as contractors and vendors that were a part of the project and making things come together.”

Through the construction process over $2 million was invested into the community with approximately 30 local full-time and part-time jobs created. Crossroads @ Hanwell is a local business that looks forward to serving the people for years to come.

Power Plus Technology to invest millions in Hanwell

February 27, 2013

Hanwell, N.B. – Power Plus Technology, an experienced retail operator, is investing more than $2 million in a dynamic new retail project in Hanwell.

Located just off Highway 2 on the Hanwell Road, the project will feature a new convenience store, gas bar, coffee shop and sandwich shop will also include an NB Liquor Agency Store.

“This project is going to create 35 full time equivalent jobs and will provide other local jobs through services that we will require to maintain the facility,” stated Jason Lutes, President of Power Plus Technology. “This is an exciting opportunity and we are excited about being a long-term, local business in Hanwell and being part of a strong local economy.”

While Power Plus Technology will operate the convenience store, gas bar and NB Liquor Agency
Store, two Fredericton-area entrepreneurs will each own and operate the coffee shop and sandwich shop respectively.

Lutes says that the local partners will be making their own announcements about their individual operations as the project moves forward. Construction is expected to begin in the near future and he expects to be open for business in the late summer or early fall.

“Having a number of new services available for the residents of Hanwell, and the general public, is going to be great for the community, great for other businesses in the area, and great for the local economy,” added Lutes. “I believe this project will be a good complement and help strengthen businesses in the area by providing more options for the consumer.”
